Well, the month of April has come and gone (pretty much). I’ve learned a lot about my photography and writing skills. I’ve even learned a lot more about the equipment I’ve been using; I found a longer version of my camera’s operating manual and got to experiment with a bigger and better camera on loan from my university. I even downloaded a bunch of professional photography apps on my phone so that it would be more powerful if I ever wanted to have a quick photo shoot while I’m out.
I’ve done all of this to get better at something that I’m very passionate about, just like I started this blog to get better at writing for the public. But photography isn’t the only thing I’m passionate about in life, and if you read May’s newsletter once it goes out, you’ll understand that. I am also really into lifestyle magazines, literature, film, interior design, and so much more. I want this website, this blog, to be a space for all of the things I’m interested in.
So, I’m changing the layout of the website just a little bit. The URL will be the same (since I’ve changed it like twice now), but the website will be a space for much more than just my photography business. Each section of the site will be devoted to a different aspect of the “lifestyle” category: business posts, series of things to do on dates and outings, reviews of films and books, interior design, organization, etc. Obviously, there will still be a contact page of the site, and anyone is more than welcome to enlist my photography services, since the site is still a front line for my business. If you need to know more about what’s to come, subscribe to the mailing list so that you can get the May newsletter once it comes out. See you next month!
