Relax and Recharge

It’s Thursday, and I am definitely feeling the slump! The week has been going by so quickly that I sort of feel like I’ve done too much! I know that’s saying a lot because I was literally just the other day talking about how hard it is to gather up motivation to do things, but I have been doing so much this week that I feel like I need today to just stop. I need to take the time today to relax, recharge, and take care of myself so that I can come back to the week stronger than ever!

Of course, no good relaxation session would be complete without tea. I made this “Morning Brew” tea that I picked up from a little shop in Pennsylvania last year. It’s a loose leaf tea with hints of chamomile and rose – very relaxing!

I also really dived deep this morning into my mindfulness routine. I picked a morning devotional from Our Daily Bread (like I do every day) and read a passage from the Bible. Today’s scripture was Deuteronomy chapter 6, all of the verses. It was about God’s love for His people being given to those who show true faithfulness and support that faith in Him.

My tarot card this morning told me that I would be feeling a bit frumpy – sort of out of my creative zone. It was right! So I had to think of ways to relax other than my usual creative exploits – photography, writing, etc. So what do you do when you need to relax? Give yourself a pedicure, of course!

The plan for the rest of today is to do…wait for it…nothing! šŸ™‚ I’m going to try to do as much of nothing as I can (while still making sure that the things that absolutely have to get done will get done). What do you do on days when you need to relax and recharge? Tell me in the comments!
